Am 16.12.2010 fand wie jedes Jahr, die traditionelle Weihnachtsfeier der spanischen Seniorengruppe, im chinesischen Restaurant, Pearl of Asia, statt.
Nach einem ausgiebigem Essen und dem Austauschen der neusten Neuigkeiten, wechselte die Festgemeinschaft, in das spanische Zentrum in Siegen zur Bescherung. Dass eine solche nicht nur Kinderherzen, sondern auch die Herzen unserer Senioren höher schlagen lässt, war allen anzusehen.
Doch nicht nur die Geschenke standen dabei im Vordergrund.
Wie immer gab es auch diesmal eine interkulturelle Erfahrung, beim Singen von Weihnachtsliedern aus der Kindheit in unterschiedlichen Sprachen, die die Teilnehmer an ihre Heimat erinnerten.
Zu hören waren spanische und deutsche Weihnachtslieder, sowie ein Lied in der Maya Sprache Quechua, die heute noch vereinzelt in Südamerika gesprochen wird.
Auch als am Ende mehrere Zentimeter Schnee, die überraschten Senioren ausserhalb des Zentrums empfingen, wurde die fröhliche Stimmung nicht getrübt.
